Other Details to Note
We do have a pool at the end of the garden. It is safe (has a hard cover on it) and also has a leaf cover on it during the Winter months. Pool is for private use.

Neighborhood
Small, attractive Oxfordshire village in the Thames valley. Village features include Shiplake Row (period houses), local pubs/restaurants, nearby farmland and woodland, scenic walking routes linking down to Shiplake and the Thames, and easy access to Henley‑on‑Thames (approx 2.5–3 miles) for shops, riverfront cafes and events like Henley Regatta. The vibe is rural/residential and family‑friendly, good for walkers, cyclists and guests wanting a peaceful base near the Thames.
Guest Access
We live next door to the Cottage and Loft so the garden is shared. However, we want guests to make the most of the outdoor space so you are welcome to walk around the garden and use the garden furniture on the terrace during the warmer months. There is also a covered outdoor area with a simple table and chairs for use by those staying in the Loft. Please note - there is an office in the garden where Mark (one of your Superhosts!) works so you may see him walking around from time to time. We also have two Burmese cats, Loki and Smokey who will come and say hello at some point as they are both inquisitive!

Most local travel is by car; roads are narrow village lanes. There is limited local bus service (occasional routes linking to Henley/Twyford). Nearest rail access is Shiplake station (about 2.5–3 km / ~5–10 minute drive), with regular services toward Henley and Twyford/Reading. Henley‑on‑Thames and Reading station are both a few miles away. Walking and cycling routes are well established (footpaths to Shiplake and Thames Path). Taxis or private transfers are recommended for late‑night travel or if you need frequent public transport connections. Heathrow Airport is 45 minutes away.
